We named our place after the huge garden and 22 fruit trees that fill our bellies, and our spread is just over an acre. Oh, and sometimes we bellyache. But mostly we enjoy our semi-rural lifestyle. You can email us at bellyacrefarm@gmail.com

I finally finished this project . . .
This is a 4x6 piece of masonite that I turned into a chalkboard with magnetic metal tiles. It's hanging in the craft room. Someday I dream of my craft room becoming my home office, where I'll write charming books for children and adults. (I'd have to use the room as my office because my books would sell so many copies that I'd need a home office as a tax write-off. I'm dreaming big here.)
In fact, this board could be used as a writing device. I could post photos or magazine scraps of people who are stand-ins for the characters in the book I'm working on. On the chalkboard I could draw a map or houseplan or barnplan to help me stay grounded in the locale of my latest writing endeavor.
Until my dreams of fiction writing take off, this board will be where I stick up fabric scraps and sketch designs for bags and totes that I make from old levis. Or I could let the kids play hangman. Or post funny quotes. Or just doodle for fun.
What would you use a chalkboard for?

It is awesome! I have generally used a chalkboard for teaching science, but prefer a whiteboard for the squeakiness and the dust.
Very nice. Isn't it rewarding to finish something that's been nagging you? I finally went and purchased like five thousand light bulbs yesterday because I am tired of having so many lights out. That is a major accomplishment for me!
Excellent!! For me-I'm using your board as a springboard for my "future" craftroom-- 1/3 sheet metal, 1/3 corkboard covered w/fabric, 1/3 blackboard or white board. Wow, that sounds awesome right now!! Maybe if I had a really cool room and cool idea board, my projects would actually get done. . . It's a thought.
We have a whiteboard that the kids use for just about everything: FHE, math, teaching little brothers to read, drawing scary monsters, Todd's project designs. It's great! Enjoy your board!!!
Cute, cute, cute! You (and Alison and Angie are sooooo creative!)
I'm glad to be sort of related to you all...... (well, at least friends with......) ;)

Love it, love it, love it!
Flashlight Girl, if only a cute project board really helped projects get done. Alas, I have yards of fabric aging in the craft room closet as I write. But someday I'll get to it.
I like the funny quotes idea. Since I write much and craft little, that's probably all a board would get used for in my home.
OK, maybe some doodling, too.
