Break out the Christmas music!

We have a family tradition that when it snows for the first time in the fall, we break out the Christmas music. (And keep it out until Christmas!)

Well, it snowed last night and accumulated on the ground. We woke up to an icy white wonderland. Fog and everything. Even the dog's eyebrows had frost on them.

We didn't wait until this morning to get out the music, but listened to some last night. Loula Belle went outside to catch snowflakes in her mouth and took a number of photos. Beans made a snowball and put it in the freezer until this morning. Basically, we're all psyched to see the white stuff!

Merry Christmas!

Wow--you've already gotten snow!

Here in San Diego County we're on the lookout for Santa Ana winds (what drove last year's wildfires). Hopefully we'll be more prepared this year if things take a turn for the worse.

We are all stoked about the snow also. It's so beautiful to look up on those mountains and see fall mixed with snow. We LOVE it!! Beaver Mountain here we come. Football is over, soccer is over....now it's time to ski.

Snow. We got 8 inches out of the weekend storm. Even though most of it has melted, I still have a 4 foot high (originally 5 ft.) snow fort standing in my front yard. I keep hearing, "Mom, when will it snow again?" Hopefully not anytime soon.

Christmas music? I've started shopping online --love that invention. But the music has to wait until after Thanksgiving here.

Hee. Hee. I went to get Patchy Pirate from pre-school today and his teacher was singing the Twelve Days of Christmas in her high-pitched, old lady, wobboloto voice. I guess if you are insane enough to teach 3 year-olds a song with 12 verses full of words the cannot possibly understand then you better start early. :)

We're in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada and we haven't had any snow yet. I think we came close one day this week! We wait until December to take out our Christmas music and then we really enjoy it! For anyone searching for a new or a special Christmas CD, you might like to peek at a page that I have written about Christmas music at Christmas Music.
